– Excuse me, Madam? I was wondering if I could take your picture. I mean, of your dress? I really like it.
– Er, what? Yes, certainly, but whatever for ?
– Well, you see, I keep this blog on comics where you wouldn’t expect them, and that dress would really fit the bill.
– OK, go ahead then.
– Would you mind having your face in the picture?
– No, not at all.
– Thanks!
And so it went. I think the artwork is either inspired by or lifted from Love And Rockets or another Los Bros Hernandez joint, but I couldn’t tell you which one exactly. But I guess the vast knowledge of the internet will somehow find out.
